Special Delivery from Mom

My mom sent me a package that contained this picture framed inside.


Our family friends had taken a picture like this--with everyone dressed in white like in the temple--and my mom wanted to do it too. We had all of our white clothes from when we were sealed a few years earlier. Since we don't take pictures in the temple, this picture represents that day.

I'm 17 in the photo and a senior in high school. My oldest brother was leaving a few days later to go up to BYU. I found out a few months later that I was to join him up at the Y the following year. The moment is a little dated, but it's a little bit of home away from home that now sits on my desk.
