I had to check out my old xanga for kicks and giggles. I think it'll be fun and maybe a bit nostalgia-inducing to periodically post my old blogs. Here's the first one ever...just over four years ago.

I think Erin should work for xanga because it seems like half the people here were brought in by here. I know I was. Anyways, it's good to have a simple way to comminicate with you. Hopefully I'll be able to find more words to say in text than I seem to manage in person.

hey guys! it was so good to hear from all of you! the best part of this is not that i can keep in touch with you guys, but that it's free! hehe. the school has open access computer labs e v e r y w h e r e, so i've been getting on the internet for free. i should be getting my laptop next monday or tuesday. i just can't wait! i've really needed a computer up here to finalize my schedule. by tomorrow i should have 18 credits--i wish i could have more, but that's our limit up here. the university doesn't want anyone to overload, fail and drop out. you can get put on academic probation really easy. right now i'm takin psychology, french, book of mormon, family history, aerobic dance, modern dance, ballet, and basic vocal skills. tomorrow i'll start my international folk dance team classes (i auditioned yesterday) and i hope to get into the university chorale. i'm barely getting my feet wet, in regards to level of difficulty, but i don't know what i want to do exactly, so i'm trying lots of things and doing the things that i love. this saturday BYU plays the Fighting Irish from Notre Dame and i'm going! i have a sports pass to go to every single sports event on campus. i'm psyched! wow, this is long (cuz it's my first real entry--erin did my last one) i'll get more practice.

oh my goodness! i had no idea there would be so many hot guys up here! my ward has the best ones too. it must be the mountain air. speaking of mountains, tonight my roomates, my brother and i are going to hike up a mountain where there is a huge Y for bYu. it's something you have to do sometime before you graduate, kind of a lot like pilgrimage, except it is NOT part of the LDS faith. i'm enjoying the time i spend with my brother. i never really got a chance to do that before cuz he is so much older than i am. i see him all the time now. i like it. i've seen so many people from fresno/clovis. as far as i know, none of us are rooming together, because we all wanted to experience new things, meet new people, but we see each other all the time! it's not bad, it's just unexpected at a school of 20,000 people. i'll let y'all know how the hike goes. becky bee buzzin out.
