Some people I know have asked why I would ever date a Muslim. Well, there were a few personal reasons, which I will not mention here.
According to this Pew research article, Mormons and Muslims have a few more things in common. Pew surveyed public opinion on Muslims and Mormons. Results and article are found here: http://people-press.org/report/358/public-expresses-mixed-views-of-islam-mormonism

The church invited one of the main leaders of the local Islamic group to speak at the Cedar building last year and Katie McLelland and I were so excited and went. It was beautiful. There religion is so close to ours and they are so articulate and respectful. They talked about all the similarities and differences, their love of the family, they thanked us, and answered many questions people had. A large portion of their community even came to support them and since the lecture happened in the evening they took a break to say their prayers, which was just amazing to watch. Love that you posted this. Are you currently dating a Muslim? I'm interested as to what sparked this. :)
